Our client wanted to embrace the timeless symmetry of the space, as it is a true his-and-hers layout. The primary goal was to refresh every finish, creating a clean and cohesive atmosphere while maintaining the room’s natural balance. With soaring ceilings, it was essential to choose finishes that grounded the space, bringing warmth and harmony to the forefront. The result? A master bath that feels both luxurious and effortlessly serene.
MASTER BATH REVAMP
The original his-and-hers space featured a traditional design, with beige and brown tones, dark brown fixtures, cream tiles, and marble countertops. A combination of natural and vanity-style lighting creates a soft, warm glow, while the cream-colored cabinets, with their ornate detailing and warm undertones, further emphasize the traditional aesthetic.
The tall, vaulted ceilings and large windows create an open, airy ambiance, allowing natural light to enhance the space. We wanted to emphasize this unique detail, as well as the thoughtfully designed layout – featuring separate vanities on either side of the room, and a built-in soaking tub connected to a double-door walk-in shower in the center.
A NEW LOOK
The new and refreshed look exudes a modern elegance with a harmonious blend of warm wood tones, crisp white features, and refined gold fixtures The space is anchored by a stunning freestanding soaking tub, which acts as a sculptural focal point against a backdrop of soft, neutral tiles. The stunning chandelier serves as both a stylish statement piece and a functional source of illumination, complimenting the arched ceiling, while drawing the eye upward and emphasizing the architectural height of the space.
The his-are-her vanities are supported by rich, natural wood cabinetry with clean lines and brushed gold pulls, adding a touch of understated luxury. Matching faucets and fixtures elevate the space further, adding contrast against the natural serene palette. Vertical sconces cast a warm, ambient glow on the glossy white subway tiles, enhancing the inviting atmosphere. This is the perfect combination of textural elements: smooth countertops, glossy tiles, and matte flooring. The symmetry of the matching vanities reinforces the cohesive and well-balanced design.
The brass dual shower system features both a rain-style shower head and a sleek handheld sprayer, with minimalist control knobs to maintain the clean and effortless look. The same glossy subway tiles featured in the vanities are stacked vertically to enhance the height of the space.
