From the moment you walk in the front door of this Roswell Home, you have to take a double-take to make sure you are in the same home! The transformation is absolutely unbelievable and exquisite!
The front entry foyer walls that were originally tan painted walls are now trimmed out and painted white to creating “tone-on-tone” which is a hot trend for 2015. The staircase that was originally black rails with carpeted steps now has wood steps and rails refinished to a dark walnut stained finish. Other additions include square iron spindles, Newell posts and trim. All furniture and accessories provided by CCFF’s sister company Creative Home Accessories.
The kitchen went through some major design renovations as well. The cabinets were refinished to an off white painted finish. New inset shaker style doors and drawers were installed into the existing cabinet boxes. Replacing just the doors and drawers gives the cabinets an updated and new look at a fraction of the cost of replacing and purchasing brand new cabinets.
In addition, new trim, baseboards, wall color and crown and light rail molding was added giving this space a clean and sleek look and feel. The kitchen table and rugs supplied by Creative Home Accessories.
Another nice addition in the kitchen is the built-in wine bar cabinets. This modification was accomplished by taking out the walk-in pantry closet and moving the refrigerator. The homeowner felt this would better utilize the space and update the kitchen. A new built-in pantry now surrounds the fridge.
The Island was modified with a microwave drawer, new wood countertop and decorative legs to extend the Island. The Perimeter cabinets received new under cabinet lighting, Italian subway tile backsplash, Quartz countertops, stainless steel apron farm sink, Delta touch less faucet and Top Knobs cabinetry hardware.
This home now reflects an updated, clean and “less is more” design style that this homeowner can enjoy with friends and family for years to come!
Backsplash subway tile has gone bigger. From the traditional 3×6 tile patterns, larger and longer tile in a subway pattern 2×12 and 2×8 have taken the lead.
Champagne Gold Cabinet & Fixtures Takes the Gold
Champagne Gold has taken the lead on cabinetry hardware as well as kitchen and bathroom fixtures. It is not the brassy gold we remember from the 90’s – that we hope will never make its debut ever again. A sophisticated alternative to oil rubbed bronze, champagne gold is making its way into homes across the spectrum.
Wine, Wine, Wine!
So instead of going out – in hopes of tasting their favorite wines – they are bringing friends and family into their homes to enjoy the wines they have purchased through vineyards that they have personally visited.
