When Sandy Springs homeowners decided it was time to update their kitchen, the main objective was to lighten up the space and create contrast between the cabinets matching the hardwood floors. Well they got that and a whole lot more

Originally deep grain honey Oak, the cabinets were refinished a factory smooth white painted finish. The homeowner wanted to contrast the perimeter cabinets so the Island was refinished to an espresso painted finish. The colors were chosen to compliment the exotic granite countertops.
In addition to the cabinets being refinished, the outdated scalloped sink valance was replaced with a simple straight cut valance.  The homeowner could not believe what a huge difference such a small change would make in their kitchen. Other additions include replacing the exposed hinges with new European hidden hinges, brushed nickel cabinetry hardware and new pullout drawers on the island that better utilize the cabinet space.

BEFORE: Outdated scalloped sink valance

AFTER: Simple straight line sink valance
